We decided to get our luggage at the hotel since we already checked out and try to take the 3:10pm train back to New Haven where our car was parked all weekend. Of course because it was late Sunday afternoon the train was crowed. We finally found some seats and a place to put our luggage. We soon found out why we could find those seats, the train car we were in was not air conditioned. We hunted to find 2 more seats with room for our luggage in an air conditioned car. We finally found some. Around 3:40pm my cell phone rang. I did not recognize the number at all and the connection just outside of NYC on the tracks was not very good. But much to our surprise, Tricia Gentry from Network Tours was calling us to offer Abby the role of Tessie in their 2007 thru 2008 National Tour of Annie. We were both so excited. Abby said her legs were shaking so much she could not stand up. She called her dad at home immediately to tell him the great news. For many days afterwards Abby thought this was a dream that she was going to wake up from. Even now sometimes she does not believe this is happening to her. She is just so excited for this new adventure.
