Abby's Annie Blog
A Blog of Abby's Experience
End of October through November

Well Cincinnati was just great!  The hotel was really nice!  Finally a nice place to stay at and we get to stay there for a week.  The first night we got there Abby ended up having all the girls over for an ice cream and movie party.  Alex came in the second day for the remainder of the week.  I decided that I was going to just relax all week at the hotel and let Alex take Abby to all the shows and rehearsals.  Martin Charnin and Liza Gennaro came in for a few days for brush up rehearsals.  I stayed in the room in the evenings and watched reruns of Law & Order and relaxed a lot.  Alex even to Abby on the school field trip to the museum they had that week.  Alex and I actually got out one night for a nice dinner and a few drinks.  But of course, the week had to finally come to an end.

Later in the month we ended up going to Madison, WI.  Abby and I loved the city.  We stayed directly across from the capital building which was beautiful.  The theater was also great.  The acoustics were terrific.  Someone told us it was donated by the owners of the people who own American Girl.  There were so many great little stores and cafes.  Abby loved the Noodle Company.  This was the first time there and I am sure if we ever see them again, we will go.  We arrived Halloween day.  The cast all went to Abby Stevens house for a big autumn dinner and the girls went trick or treating.  Abby Steven’s is the girl that plays Grace Farrell.  Most of the cast dressed up.  It was great, everyone had a really nice time.

Most of the month of November we spent time going back and forth going from Iowa to Illinois and back again and again.  Lots of one nighters!  In Aurora, IL Abbys first vocal teacher came to the show.  It was so so nice to see her again!  Abby loved working with her and misses her still.  We were able to get a bite to eat with her after the show.

Finally Thanksgiving arrived.  We were in St. Louis for an entire week.  Once again, Alex came out for most of the week.  It was great to be together as family again.  Thanksgiving dinner was so nice.  The tour organized a big thanksgiving dinner for the entire cast and crew.  We had a really nice time.  The theater was nice too!  Now with the holiday season there are more shows.  Most of that week there were two shows a day.  Abby is counting the days for Christmas, she is really looking forward to going home, even if it is only for a really short period.
